hello all!
greeting from york. i've found this site randomly but yey body mods!
i'm a very pierced young lady with around 20 odd piercings at the mo. have had more in the past.
i first started getting the piercing buzz when i was 15,it seemed fun and i liked me with random metal in it. last year i decieded it was more than a hobby and found myself an aprentaship working at the york body piercing clinic (feel the steel) and am still there currently training under jon archibalb.
i love it so much! i've just started the third and final part of training which is all the advanced stuff (genital, surface etc). i work in the studio two days a week and pierce clients to the level i am trained up to.
my main love is surface work,i've had quite alot done in the past but its all had to come out due to migration, boo hoo! i may post some pics of my arm work, cos it rocked.
i also have 3 tattoos, more are planned. again pics if your lucky!
if people do have any questions regarding any piercing problem, give me a shout and i'll try and help.

Hey, I'm new to London (Camden) area and I'm looking for a reputable place for my roomie to get a new tat and for me to get a branding done. If anyone knows, I'd be psyched. Websites/ portfolios helpful but I can always scope it out myself. Danke mucho!

Help! [Aug. 12th, 2004|04:34 pm]
Painfully Perfect|Body Modification UK

Hi!  I've just joined this community after following links recommended to me by a very pierced young lady.

Me I don't have that much artwork yet, various standard piercings over the years, most of which are now gone, and just the one tat however I take my modification very seriously and like to think about something for a long time before I actually go though with it.  Generally five years is about my deal.

I am seriously considering a subdermal implant (probably with medical grade silicon) to a specific design and whilst I would love to travel over to Arizona to have the work done I fear that finances will stand in my way.  Are there any reputable and indeed recommended practitioners of the work over in this country?

Body modification as incipient transhumanism?!? [Jun. 18th, 2004|12:48 am]
Painfully Perfect|Body Modification UK

Check out this article:

It's partway down a larger page on the idea of transhumanism, but I found it very thought-provoking with regard to current attitudes towards body modification, especially what would be regarded as extreme by most ordinary people.

It seems to fit the idea of this community very neatly, given that transhumanism is all about perfecting our merely human bodies...

x-posted; stomach tatts [Apr. 12th, 2004|01:37 am]
Painfully Perfect|Body Modification UK
does anyone have their stomach tattooed? I want the new Skinny Puppy logo inked on the side of my stomach (since it's a fucking gorgeous design &my way of getting through the past year relatively intact, thanks in no small way to SP. (&also NIN, before you all go, "but what about NIN?" :P) But I've been told stomach tatts REALLY hurt! :P I've got two tatts on my upper arms, how does the pain of those (which is pretty very minimal), compare to the pain of a stomach tatt?
